Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains how Capri Tan Ltd ("Capri Tan", "we", "us") handles your personal data when you shop with us or browse capritan.com.
Who we are
Capri Tan Ltd is the data controller for the personal data we process. You can reach us at any time at hello@capritan.com. (Company registration number and registered office address will be added here before launch.)
What we collect
- Order details — name, email, shipping address and what you bought, so we can fulfil your order and handle returns.
- Payment references — payment confirmations from our processors (Fena for Pay by Bank, Stripe for cards). We never see or store your card number or banking credentials.
- Marketing consent — your email address if you join our newsletter, used only to send you Capri news and offers.
- Site analytics — pseudonymised browsing data via advertising pixels (TikTok, Meta, Google Analytics 4), only where enabled and subject to your consent.
How we use it
We use your data to process and deliver orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and — where you've opted in — send marketing emails. Our lawful bases are contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interest and consent (which you can withdraw anytime via the unsubscribe link).
Who we share it with
Only the partners needed to run the shop: payment processors (Fena, Stripe), our delivery couriers, our email platform (Klaviyo) and our hosting provider (Vercel). We never sell your data. All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per each platform's standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing. Email hello@capritan.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: essential ones (your shopping bag) and, with consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
